About Us:

Spokes Community Bicycle Project is a aspiring Non-Profit project whose mission is to empower communities by engaging in activities that promote environmentalism and human equity. Spokes recovers Landfill-Bound Bicycles, repairs them to working condition and prepares them for shipment to developing countries.

Project members organize through the concepts of volunteering, collective decision making, self-empowerment, and cooperative learning.

Spokes Community Bicycle Project recycles locally and delivers them to communities in need at low cost to provide sustainable development in their countries.

We are currently accepting donations for our Bonobo Conservative Initative Partnership | First choice Mountain Bikes then completed Bicycles, Bicycle Parts, Bicycle Frames, Brake Cables & Bike Tools

Long Term Project Goals:

Community Drop-In:
The Project is open to anyone to get help repairing their own bike, helping others, working to repair donated bikes for shipment or to donate bicycles or bicycle parts. This service is free but the Project accepts donations.

Mechanic Night:
People who already have "Bicycle Building Skills" can come and volunteer to help bring bikes back to life in preparation for their shipment to developing countries.

Community Workdays:
Once a month the Project sponsors one day projects to organize and fix up the work space, hold fund raisers, bike donation drives and general bike repair. Volunteers are needed and appreciated! Folks bring food for lunch to share!
